Who is MPS?
MacLean Power Systems, a division of MacLean-Fogg Company, has been a leading manufacturer of products for electric utility and telecommunication markets for over 100 years. MPS products include: automatic & bolted connectors, silicone rubber non-ceramic insulators from 11kV - 1000kV AC and up to 800kVDC, surge arresters, anchors, pole line hardware, ferrous and aluminum cast hardware, hardware assemblies, fiberglass products, specialty steel fabrications, grounding equipment and tools/accessories.
History
With MacLean Power Systems’ acquisition of Dixie Manufacturing Company from Aluma-Form in 2005 and the 2004 acquisition of Joslyn Manufacturing Company, MPS provides the most comprehensive line of brand name T&D products to the utility and telecommunication industries. Starting with the 1986 purchase of Reliable Power Products, the MacLean Power Systems’ family has grown to include: Bethea Electrical Products, Continental Electric, Precision Fiberglass, Atlas Fabrications, Utilities Service, Hydrocom International, American Metals Products, American Connector Engineering Company (ACE) – an operating unit of Preformed Line Products, the Sediver composite insulator business in York, SC, and the Sediver composite hollow core business in St. Yorre, France. In addition, in 2003, to facilitate the growing Asian market, MPS established a joint venture with MPC in Guangzhou, China.
International Sales
MacLean Power Systems operates out of nine manufacturing facilities worldwide. MPS serves our Canadian neighbors through our MacLean Power Canada operation in Chateaguay, Quebec. MacLean Power France houses our hollow core insulator business and serves markets throughout the world. MacLean Power China serves not only the rapidly growing greater China region, but also manufactures insulators for our worldwide customer base.
