MacLean Power's ‘C’ Clamp and Grounding Connector.
This innovative design allows installation in areas where space is restricted since the keeper is the moving part of the assembly rather than the eyescrew.
The 2” ‘C’ Clamp (01-M-044) provides a wider product range to better serve the Electrical Utilities. This clamp can be installed on overhead conductor on distribution and transmission system up to 2” OD and 2” IPS bus (2-3/8” dia.) in the substation.
01-M-044 has been tested to 51.4 kA with a maximum peak current of 138 kA, which qualifies at a Grade 5H rating per the proposed new ASSTM F855 standard. For higher fault current add suffix “H” for 61.7kA with a maximum peak current of 162kA. 01-M-044H will be fitted with a 350MCM ferrule for these higher fault currents.
The Grounding Connector is designed to achieve an installation on 2-4” OD bus with a hot stick. This grounding connector is accommodated with a ground stud or ball that results in reduced weight for easier installation by the linepersons.

01-M-051 is assembled with a 03-M-015 ground stud
01-M-052 is assembled with a 25mm ball stud
01-M-053 is assembled with a 30mm ball stud
Use of this Grounding Connector in combination with an assembly that has our 01-M-037 clamps on applications where there is 2-4” OD bus will be more ergonomically efficient for the linepersons.
