MPS Ready for Storm Season

STORM WATCH
MPS is in Storm Watch!
MPS is watching the recent activity of Tropical storms and Hurricanes and our plants are ready.
If your area is impacted by a storm, contact MPS for material availability as actual available inventories for storms are higher than indicated on the MPS website.
MacLean Power Systems is a world leader in utility overhead distribution products like automatic splices, hot line clamps, wedge clamps, deadend clamps, distribution insulators, arresters and pole line hardware. These products are built in six US manufacturing facilities. During the winter storm season these products are in great demand because they are required for emergency restoration of utility distribution and transmission lines.

MPS maintains dedicated storm stock in automatic splices, the most popular storm repair product, and also ramps up inventory on other distribution products prior to storm season. In addition, highly efficient domestic cellular manufacturing results in quick turn around on product when existing utility and distributor stocks are depleted.

MPS is ready for storm season 2009 and it is important that distributors and utilities, whether in a storm area or not, are also prepared. Utilities in storm impact zones ramp up inventory prior to storm season and work with MPS and their distributors for back-up.

For the utilities not in a storm impact area, the storms in 2007 and 2008 demonstrated how much product a devastated area requires for emergency restoration. MPS priority is to continue to support the storm area until the power is restored to aid those in need. This potentially leaves other customers with limited product for their everyday needs.

MPS has been a proven storm emergency product manufacturer to the US utility market. The MPS commitment to domestic manufacturing means that MPS will continue to be a valuable supplier to the US utility market in the future for storm repair and everyday product requirements.
